goodbye carol
Poor Carol was the first houseguest to get kicked out of the Big Brother house, I never really got the chance to like her. Oh well, with Jen winning HOH it should be really interesting to see who see puts up.

mimi in capri
i dunno
That's how I feel about the new season of Big Brother last night was the second show, with nominations. Five minutes into the show, Jen the girl I picked up for top 5 (yeah no longer) that bitch flips out over her picture and starts crying and shit. Covering up her picture b/c she didnt want anyone to see it. People laughing at her ass and she up there crying. Brings me to another sad soul Joe. Ugh the boy is too gay to function, (thanks Mean Girls)Im gay so Im not homophobic but that boy is TOOOOOOOOO much. I dont understand how he got a cute and nice guy like Dustin. And finally the old momma Kail who is playing the game so hard already. Getting her alliance with the 3 hottest guys in the house (I aint mad at you). There's just something about that sneaky bitch I dont like. So my losers of the week are. JEN (it was just a damn picture and your ass went crazy) JOE (baby tone it down, we know you are gay) and Kail (your ass is being too sneaky that shit is going to catch up with you)

T.G.I.F
I wasnt too happy earlier in the week b/c of the fact that the 4th was on Wednesday and all I got was one lously day off. But at this point its Friday, the wkend I head off to Chicago in the morning what is there to be sad about? So in honor of it being T.G.I.F check out sexy Michael from Chicago.... His eyes are sooo pretty.
because i love it
Father: You see, girls, there is an election coming up, and so far we have only had boring white men. This time we could have a black man or a woman as our president!
Four-year-old daughter: But Daddy, we're white!
Father: Yes, but we aren't boring.
--Metro-North train
If you have never read Overheard in New York, you are soooo missing out on some funny ass shit! So click on the link on the right and enjoy!

reason 8 why i love summer

I usually hate summer tv because there's not shit on. A bunch of cheap reality shows that pretty much copy one another. BUT tonight CBS brings back my favorite summer guilty pleasure Big Brother. Last summer was amazing due to the fact that it was All-Stars but this summer brings the twist of the houseguest finding out that some of them will be sharing the house with an enemy or rival. I think it's a lame twist but it should deliver some big drama.
Based on cast bios, and quite honestly looks Im going to pick a few houseguest to follow. Danielle. Eric . Jen. Mike. and Nick. So those are my top 5 picks now, Im sure I will change them as the show goes on I just hope I didnt pick a bunch of douchebags to root for. pics via cbs.com
to be free.

I am absoultey digusted by the fact that President George Bush has decided to erase the prison sentence of former aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby. President Bush felt that the 30 month jail sentence was unfair but he left a $250,000 fine. To a crook who's friends and supporters have raised more than $5 million to cover legal fees whats a fuckin $250,000 fine?? Bush also left in place his two years of supervised release. But supervised release — a form of probation — is only available to people who have served prison time. Without prison, it's unclear what happens next. Senator Clinton said it best that the Libby decision "was clearly an effort to protect the White House. ... There isn't any doubt now, what we know is that Libby was carrying out the implicit or explicit wishes of the vice president, or maybe the president as well, in the further effort to stifle dissent." Talk about Indepence Day, Bush and Libby both give a new meaning to "the land of the free."

make it stop

People PLEASE stop it with Paris Hilton, I am fucking... yes fucking sick of hearing about her. She is not news, I sometimes am a fan of Larry King Live when he has a good interview. Like I will be watching Monday to see what Isiah Washington has to say about being let go from Grey's. But you can not tell me Paris Hilton has enough worth wild things to say to cover an entire 60 minute interview. How was life in jail? How was the food? Where the inmates nice? I dont give a shit.
While we foucs on Paris;
A car bomb killed 22 people in Baghdad
Torrential rains ravage central Texas
NYC power outage snarls traffic, trains
President Bush trys to push his plan to legalize millions of unlawful immigrants
The Supreme Court has rejected school assignment plans that take account of students' race in two major public school districts.
A battle between Edwards and Coulter was sparked by an appearance on GMA.
Senate Issues Subpoenas in Wiretapping Case
Residents are rushing to leave their homes as flames come closer in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Maybe its foolish of me to think that because of all the others issues in the world that we would focus on those rather than if jail was really hard for Paris. Dont get me wrong I love my celebrity news as well but on Access Hollywood, E!, not on Fox News or hell even my local news.

feeling the burn
You know what I love about reading a good book, the fact how it inspires me to write, to be who i want to be, and it gives me hope. I just finished reading Twenty Something - The Quarter-Life Crsis of Jack Lancaster by Iain Hollingshead. The book is basically about Jack a 25 year old guy in London who quits his job, dumps his girlfriend, all because he's not happy and he wants to find his purpose in life. There were so many points hit soo close to home to me, I have been feeling like Im in a transition stage in my life.
Things I found important in my life I see how foolish they really are, case in point I was watching EXTRA tonight, and I realized how much of a joke those shows are ("going inside the lives of celebrities".) They tease stories with false headlines to make you stay tunned only to find out the story was full of shit. Its a part of the business I realize that, a business I once thought I wanted to be in, but now at the moment I have no respect for it.
Sure I have dreams of rocking out a few novels, maybe a tv show or two, but its not for the fame but for the love of the craft. I remember watching an interview with MC (I know a constant point of reference for me, just like oprah what do you expect im black and gay lol,) she was saying how when she was a little girl she wanted to be famous, but never to the point where lies would be printed about her and her life would be under a microscope. Does becoming a public figure mean you are required to give up all sense of privacy? That is def a topic that I may go into another time but now its about the damn book.
I must say that I am really proud of myself for actually reading a book rather than spending my free time online checking out myspace and porn. For anyone 25 or any age really but def that 24-26 gap that feels lost without direction I should highly suggest picking up the book. For myself it was refreshing reading about a character who goes thru the same struggles taht I have/am. I honestly felt that I was only person who felt a particular way, and now I know Im not alone. I just wish more people who be more open about their struggles, because there really is strength in numbers.

all my favorites

Kanye West celebrated his 30th birthday in style Thursday night with a huge bash at the Louis Vuitton store in New York that brought out a bevy of big-time guests including Jay-Z, John Legend and Mariah Carey. This would have marked MC's first public apperence in a while. Nice to see her back and looking grrreat!

not too exciting to me..

I could give a shit who wins the Oscar tonight, but Ill be watching every minute of it.

I do have to say Oprah's Oscar Special was damn entertaining.
I sure hope Barbara Walters took notes cause Im sure her Oscar Special tonight will be lame as hell.. Speaking of lame ass Ellen will probably do a shitty job of trying too hard to be funny, I guess all women love a sense of humor in their partners gay or straight, cause I dont know how Ellen got Portia. But what I do know is that Jennifer Hudson will blow Beyonce's ass out of the water during the live performances. Go Team Hudson..

it's offiical

NY Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has officially entered the race for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. I for one am extremely excited about this, I have been a huge supporter of the Clinton's. I worked for Bill's campaign during the 1996 election against Bob Dole, by putting up signs around the neighborhood and handing out button and bumper stickers. Keep in mind that was 11 years ago, and I was only 15. But it should be interesting to see how things unfold, Sen. Barack Obama still may throw his hat into the race, along with New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, embarking on a bid to become the first Hispanic to reside as president as well as the party's 2004 vice presidential candidate, John Edwards, and possibly others to follow. Clearly right now tho Sen. Clinton is the front runner but the most amazing thing to look at is the amount of diversity coming out for the election, that alone should make the American people proud. Stay Tuned.

same story different song
I didn't mean it
When I said I didn't love you so
I should have held on tight
I never should've let you go
I did nothing
I was stupid
I was foolish
I was lying to myself
I could not fathom that I would ever
Be without your love
Never imagined I'd be
Sitting here beside myself
I didn't know you
I didn't know me
But I thought I knew everything
I never felt
The feeling that I'm feeling now
Now that I don't
Hear your voice
Or even touch or even kiss your lips
Cause I don't have a choice
What I wouldn't give
To have you lying by my side
We belong together
When you left
I lost a part of me
It's still so hard to believe
Come back baby please
We belong together
Who else am I gonna lean on
When times get rough
Who's gonna talk to me on the phone
Till the sun comes up
Who's gonna take your place
Baby nobody else
We belong together
I can't sleep at night
When you're all on my mind
Bobby Womack's on the radio
Singing to me
'If you think you're lonely now'
Wait a minute
This is too deep, too deep
I gotta change the station
So I turn the dial
Trying to catch a break
And then I hear Babyface
I only think of you
And it's breaking my heart
I'm trying to keep it together
But I'm falling apart
I'm feeling all out of my element
I'm throwing things
Crying
Trying to figure out
Where the hell I went wrong
The pain reflected in this song
Ain't even half of what
I'm feeling inside
I need you
Need you back in my life baby
When you left
I lost a part of me
It's still so hard to believe
Come back baby please
We belong together
Who else am I gonna lean on
When times get rough
Who's gonna talk to me
Till the sun comes up
Who's gonna take your place
Baby nobody else
We belong together
We Belong Together is without a doubt probably the best R&B song recorded in the past 20 years. Yeah the song is a little old and you are probably wondering why are I am posting the lyrics well it's simple. I am still head over heels in love with my ex and this song expresses how I feel 120%. The pain of letting a love go, only to realize there's not another one like it. With that said this one is for you babe.

eh could be worst
Porn Starlet Mary Carey decided to mock Mariah Carey, who is trying to stop Mary from trademarking her name. MC's lawyers say that they are worried about fans getting them confused. Eh im not sure about that BUT I can understand MC wouldn't want share the Carey brand. Not that there's any doubt but I'm definitely Team MC.

brand new year
So New Year Eve has come and gone, and some of us hardly remember it, I personally decided to go a different route rather than going out club hoping. This year, well last year I wasnt really feeling the 'let's go out, drink and dancing mode' it was more the 'lets get some friends together with good food, good drinks deal.'It was nice and very chill just the way I like it, I hope all of you had a wonderful time as well whatever you did. Ive been reading the Anderson Cooper book Dispatches From The Edge and he had a great quote about New Years that I thought pretty much sums up the whole holiday. "I've always thought that New Year's Eve is proof that human beings are essentially optimistic creatures. Despite hundreds of years of pathetic parties and hellish hangovers, we contiune to cling to the notion that its possible to have fun on that night. It's not. There's too much pressure, too many expectations, too few bathrooms."
So true Anderson, so true. New Years to me isnt about the parties it's about the idea that there' a New Year to do all over, whatever mistakes you made in the past year, you can leave them there and have a fresh start. As far as resolutions go, they are pretty much health related, great better and hit the gym like every other America, except in my case Im not fat I just want to turn my 6 pack to a 8. But over all Im really looking forward to 2007, I turn 25 which by itself its a big deal to me. Mostly because Im hoping that I grow up a helluva lot this year lol, I cant keep fucking around forever. And by fucking around, I def dont mean sex.
