Rupert Murdoch, a man who already had altogether too much media power has just brought the Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal for 5 BILLION dollars. This could def be a bad thing since Murdoch's News Corp owns the Faux News Channel, many are guessing that The Wall Street Journal will become the first major conservative newspaper around. Im def all for creating and increasing your empire as long as you dont fuck it up or get too greedy. Mr.Murdoch tho has a long history of bending his journalism to political power in order to incur government, personal and regulatory favor.

On the other hand Murdoch does have the money to invest into the paper to actually make the paper greater. Nowadays with so many CEO's concerned about rising quarterly profit margins. Murdoch is "an owner who has a vision of a print-Web future that can sustain the expensive business of journalism and who is willing to lose some money in order to get across the dark valley to that bright mountain". I got that quote from Mike Hoyt a reporter for the HuffingtonPost.com, I def can not take credit for being that original lol.

In the end I wish Mr. Murdoch well, he's a business man a very successful one at that not only with his latest purchases but also with word of the development of the Fox News Business Channel. A venture to Im sure go after CNBC's audience. The only problem I have with big business is the Walmart effect, where one company/person/persons own the large portion of a particular market and Mr. Murdoch is setting himself to be the king of all Media.

That's how I feel about this season of Big Brother. I personally think Big Brother is probably one of the best reality shows out there but this cast.. OH No. This summer what a let down, I have never seen a bigger bunch of cry babies in my life. The past seasons have been filled with drama, power struggles and true competitors. The group this year is a bunch of amateurs, after 7 seasons you would think people would know how to play the game. I guess I am wrong b/c I could do a better job than they are now. This season is soo bad that I half way want to stop watching it, and i love Big Brother. And Im really bummed out that CBS and Showtime decided this year to do Big Brother After Dark where they show live from the house on Showtime2 from 12-3. Last year should have been the year for that, Im mean All-Star season baby.

Everyone annoys me soo much its hard for me to pick a favorite for the end. Since I have no favorites here are the people I hate the most. Eric(America's Player)- dude you fucking annoy me sooo much that if I ever saw you on the street I would punch you in the face. Evil Dick - dude chill out sometime, everything does not have to be soo deep. Amber - bitch have you ever watched Big Brother before? of course the game is suppose to be stressful, so stop laying around crying all damn day. Jen - get over yourself, bitch you arent that hot.

To be fair there are still 9 people in the house so the show could indeed get better, but damn what a slow fucking start.

Discovery Channel is looking into claims that Man vs. Wild doesn't rough it as much as viewers are led to believe. "Discovery Communications has learned that isolated elements of Man vs. Wild in some episodes were not natural to the environment and that for health and safety concerns the crew and host received some survival assistance," the cabler says in a statement cited by the Reporter.

An investigation by the U.K.'s Channel 4 found that Man vs. Wild host Bear Grylls retreated to a hotel room on at least two occasions when it was purported that he slept "in the wild." (To be fair, the lodging in question was a Motel 6, so... tomato, tom-ah-to.) Discovery maintains that "moving forward, the program will be 100-percent transparent, and all elements... will be explained to our viewers."

Apparently the photoshopped ad for MC's M by Mariah Carey ad is a FAKE. According to tmz.com Miss Mariah has herself flopping around the web in a photoshopped pic showing the singer with her new fragrance, and Elizabeth Arden wants you to know -- that's not right!

An Arden spokesperson released this statement: "An image of Mariah Carey with her fragrance bottle photoshopped in the corner is being featured on several blogs today, and is categorically not the advertisement for her new fragrance, nor is it even remotely close. The real ad for M by Mariah Carey will debut exclusively on TMZ during the second week of August."

I gotta give tmz.com credit for getting down to the bottom of this, fake or not its a beautiful picture.(call me biased) but MC is flat shoes and ugly flat shoes at that, was the first sign something was wrong. Thank God for second chances, after being let go from "Grey's Anatomy" in June, following several months of controversy of his alleged use of a homophobic slur toward castmate T.R. Knight. Isaiah Washington has a new JOB. New NBC boss Ben Silverman announced Monday at the Television Critics Association press tour that former "Grey's Anatomy" star will have a recurring part on "Bionic Woman" in the fall. He'll appear in five of the show's first six episodes, and has also signed a development deal for an action series project with Universal Media Studios. I for one could not be happier, you know some people a lot of people dont like Isaiah. I happen to, actually more so after the whole Grey's firestorm than when he was on the show, Im just glad he got a second chance to prove himself. I like many others, are soo quick to be dismissive of other people especially when they do something wrong or something we dont personally agree. Giving someone a second chance, is not easy for me to do but every once in a while it can be worth wild.

reason 8 why i love summer

I usually hate summer tv because there's not shit on. A bunch of cheap reality shows that pretty much copy one another. BUT tonight CBS brings back my favorite summer guilty pleasure Big Brother. Last summer was amazing due to the fact that it was All-Stars but this summer brings the twist of the houseguest finding out that some of them will be sharing the house with an enemy or rival. I think it's a lame twist but it should deliver some big drama.

Based on cast bios, and quite honestly looks Im going to pick a few houseguest to follow. Danielle. Eric . Jen. Mike. and Nick. So those are my top 5 picks now, Im sure I will change them as the show goes on I just hope I didnt pick a bunch of douchebags to root for. pics via cbs.com

I am absoultey digusted by the fact that President George Bush has decided to erase the prison sentence of former aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby. President Bush felt that the 30 month jail sentence was unfair but he left a $250,000 fine. To a crook who's friends and supporters have raised more than $5 million to cover legal fees whats a fuckin $250,000 fine?? Bush also left in place his two years of supervised release. But supervised release — a form of probation — is only available to people who have served prison time. Without prison, it's unclear what happens next. Senator Clinton said it best that the Libby decision "was clearly an effort to protect the White House. ... There isn't any doubt now, what we know is that Libby was carrying out the implicit or explicit wishes of the vice president, or maybe the president as well, in the further effort to stifle dissent." Talk about Indepence Day, Bush and Libby both give a new meaning to "the land of the free."

You know what I love about reading a good book, the fact how it inspires me to write, to be who i want to be, and it gives me hope. I just finished reading Twenty Something - The Quarter-Life Crsis of Jack Lancaster by Iain Hollingshead.The book is basically about Jack a 25 year old guy in London who quits his job, dumps his girlfriend, all because he's not happy and he wants to find his purpose in life. There were so many points hit soo close to home to me, I have been feeling like Im in a transition stage in my life.

Things I found important in my life I see how foolish they really are, case in point I was watching EXTRA tonight, and I realized how much of a joke those shows are ("going inside the lives of celebrities".) They tease stories with false headlines to make you stay tunned only to find out the story was full of shit. Its a part of the business I realize that, a business I once thought I wanted to be in, but now at the moment I have no respect for it.

Sure I have dreams of rocking out a few novels, maybe a tv show or two, but its not for the fame but for the love of the craft. I remember watching an interview with MC (I know a constant point of reference for me, just like oprah what do you expect im black and gay lol,) she was saying how when she was a little girl she wanted to be famous, but never to the point where lies would be printed about her and her life would be under a microscope. Does becoming a public figure mean you are required to give up all sense of privacy? That is def a topic that I may go into another time but now its about the damn book.

I must say that I am really proud of myself for actually reading a book rather than spending my free time online checking out myspace and porn. For anyone 25 or any age really but def that 24-26 gap that feels lost without direction I should highly suggest picking up the book. For myself it was refreshing reading about a character who goes thru the same struggles taht I have/am. I honestly felt that I was only person who felt a particular way, and now I know Im not alone. I just wish more people who be more open about their struggles, because there really is strength in numbers.
