Sooooo Good..

I dont know how I came across this movie, or why I even added it to my Netflix's queue. Maybe it was the fact that Kip Pardue stars in it and I really havent seen him in anything since Driven. For a movie to have been based about and filmed not too far from where I live blows my mind cause I dont remember hearing anything about it.

Loggerheads is based on a true story that tells about birth mother, child, and adoptive parents of the child. I really hate writing summarys of movies cause I tend to go on and on..lol. So with some help i'm gonna go over it real quick and then give my opinion, cause that's what really matters lol.

In Asheville North Carolina , Grace is an airport car-rental agent living with her mother quits her job and embarks on a long-delayed quest: facing the legal barriers that keep her from finding the son she gave up for adoption when she was a teenager.
Across the state in Kure Beach, Mark is a young man obsessed with saving loggerhead sea turtles, meets George a friendly motel owner who offers him a place to stay.
In the center of the state is the small town of Eden, where a minister's wife struggles to confront her conservative husband over their estrangement from their son.

Now I must admit that when I first started watching this movie, I didnt realize that the storylines were interwoven. That's because I wasnt paying attention. I hardly ever see movies that invoke real emotions within myself. I mean the other night I watched Dont Say a Word. I mean that movie is from like 1802, well more like 2002 lol. but I mean who watches Dont Say a Word? I loves Loggerheads because it was soo real, mostly because of the characters involved. It showed how conservative soo many people still are in the south especially when it contains to homosexuality. And How easy it is for people to push things out of their mind and live in a state of denail rather than face the issues head on.

I took soo much away from this movie personally, but the bottom line of it was that life is soo short and precious. We should live it in a way that makes us happy, and not for someone else. Gotta stop living your life for other people. Anyone who lived in a small town, the south, or any other conservative area can relate to something in this movie rather it be a character that reminds them of a family member or a nosey neighbor. This is def one of the best movies I've seen in awhile, def sad.. Like if I could cry I would have, yeah I cant cry I'll save that for another time maybe.. Jeremy Jackson hasnt really done much except for a lame ass movie called Ring of Darkness a few years ago that also had American Idol reject Ryan Starr. So that tells you how watchable that movie is, but hey Jeremy give me a call..

OK so I'm am like 2 days behind with this post, but def better late than never I always say. I am ashamed to say that this past Tuesday's press conference given by President George W Bush was the first one I actually watched. I tend to be one of those people who forms opinions about a person before actually meeting or getting to know them. President Bush is one of those people. I'm not saying that I agree with his policies today I am talking purely on the fact that I didnt realize the man had a personality.

Basically the press conference was Bush's chance to promote the economy, and pledged to stick with it in Iraq because "the situation in Iraq is improving despite continuing violence." Again this post is not about me agreeing with his policies because I do not. During the course of the conference he's going over everything asking answering questions, and I cant stop laughing. Maybe a little at the answers but mostly but his facial expressions and the way he answered them. It was like it was a big joke to him, he kinda had a silly ass grin on his face the whole time. I may be 4 years too late but this was news to me, the man has jokes. This is really sad that I'm admitting this, I guess I've spent most of my time over the past few years reading US Weekly and shit. How many Number 1 singles did MC have last year? 4 . How much did we spend on the war so far? I dont know. Sad people SAD.. Now that I have shown my ignorance, it's time to end this post. Where's the excitement?

So last night was the first live American Idol, 2 hours at that. Why did we need 24 hours of that crap? Maybe it's because I'm new to American Idol and this is the first season that I've watched from the start. But shit is lame ass, where the other season's as bad as this? It was Stevie Wonder night and no one really did anything great. Thank God it's only 30 minutes tonight cause I dont think I can handle any more of that shit. And could someone please for god's sake get Bucky, Kellie, Kevin and Taylor Hicks off the damn show. I've never watched anything in my life where there were 4 people who I could not stand. I mean I can deal with the Gross Master Bucky and dumb dumb Kellie. But that little wanna be cute thing Kevin.. CHILD please, the day who become a sex symbol like Brad Pitt is the day the world comes to a tragic end. And Mr. Retard Taylor Hicks, dude there is totally like mediciation that you can take for being soo fucking retarded. As much as I LOVE LOVE her, please please please do not have a Mariah Carey night. I may have to just watch Mandisa and Elliott sing and save myself the headache.
Speaking of headache.... ABC has been promoting their new show 'Sons & Daughters' like crazy it's suppose to be like the funniest shit ever! A comedy series that offers a mix of improvisational and scripted humor, dont get me wrong it had some wild out moments, but last nights episodes were so dramatic storyline wise. I want to see more of " I'm not racist I've dated a black man" " Did you tell anybody?" " Of course not, what I'm crazy?" Well it went something like that, that shit is funny to me but I guess I have a sick sense of humor..btw I'm not a racist.. I am a black man..
